The apartment is located within the Zámecká zahrada grounds in Jince, at Slavíkova 1, in the heart of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area. Jince lies in the Příbram District of the Central Bohemian Region. It is approximately 45 minutes by car from Prague and 15 minutes from Příbram.

By car from Prague it takes approximately 45–50 minutes, making the apartment ideal for a relaxed weekend stay near Prague as well as for guests looking for quiet outside the city.
What cycling routes are available nearby?
Brdy is criss-crossed by a dense network of cycling routes and forest tracks, and you can set off directly from the gate. Routes lead through forests, past ponds and to scenic viewpoints, ranging from easy family circuits to more demanding terrain. We provide a lockable cellar for bicycles and a place to rinse them off when you return.
Can I go cross-country skiing or hiking directly from the apartment?
Yes. In winter, the nearby Brdy Magistrála is the longest cross-country skiing route in the Brdy hills. During the rest of the year, marked trails lead from Jince into the Brdy forests, past ponds and to scenic viewpoints. The Brdy Protected Landscape Area is one of the least crowded protected areas in Central Bohemia, so you are more likely to encounter deer than other hikers along the way.
What else can be visited around Jince?
Directly from the apartment, guests can walk to the chateau gardens and nearby woods, the Barbora blast furnace, Plešivec with its Bronze Age hillfort, Čertova kazatelna, the natural swimming biotope in Jince or the Jordán educational trail. Brdy offers an extensive network of cycling routes and, in winter, cross-country ski trails. Within about an hour by car are Karlštejn, Křivoklát, Točník and Žebrák castles, Hořovice and Dobříš chateaux, Koněprusy Caves, the Mining Museum in Příbram and the Padrť ponds.
What services are available in Jince?
In Jince, guests will find everything needed for a comfortable stay: restaurants, grocery shops, a wine bar and a swimming biotope for refreshment. The village is also easy to reach thanks to the train station and bus stop directly in Jince.

How much does a night at Zámecký Apartmán Verde cost?
The price is CZK 4,290 per night during the high season, from April to October. During the low season, from November to March, the price is CZK 3,900 per night. The rate is for the entire apartment, not per person, and includes cleaning, bed linen and towels. We do not charge any hidden extras or tourist taxes.
How is payment handled?
The full amount is paid in advance when booking. We do not require a deposit or a refundable security deposit. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or QR payment.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel your stay free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. Instead of cancelling, you can also move your booking to another date—just contact us and we will find a suitable alternative.
Is parking available at the apartment?
Yes, guests have a reserved parking space directly inside the grounds behind the gate, exclusively for the apartment. The car remains safely inside the closed area throughout the stay.
How many people can the apartment accommodate?
Zámecký Apartmán Verde is a 47 m² studio-style apartment with a separate bathroom. The maximum capacity is 3 guests: a large double bed for 2 and a sofa bed for 1.
Is the apartment suitable for children?
The apartment accommodates a maximum of three guests, making it suitable for a couple with one child. Its intimate, peaceful layout is better suited to a romantic or relaxing stay than to a family holiday.
Are dogs allowed at Zámecký Apartmán Verde?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in order to preserve the quality and long-term sustainability of the apartment.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is possible from 14:00, when guests can collect the keys and settle in calmly. Check-out is no later than 10:00 in the morning, leaving enough time to prepare the apartment for the next guests.
What is the minimum length of stay?
The minimum stay is two nights. We want our guests to truly enjoy Brdy—it is not worth coming here for just one night.
Can I cook in the apartment?
Yes, the kitchenette is fully equipped. It includes an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle and toaster. Complete tableware, pots and pans, cutlery, knives and bottle openers for wine and beer are also provided. You only need to bring your food.
Are towels and bed linen provided?
Yes, bed linen and towels are prepared for your arrival and included in the price of your stay. Shampoo and shower gel are also provided in the bathroom.
Is the apartment open year-round?
Yes, we welcome guests throughout the year. Every season has something special to offer—cycling routes in spring and summer, colourful forests and mushroom picking in autumn, and cross-country ski trails and a kind of peace in winter that you will not find in the city.
How does check-in work? Do I need to meet someone to collect the keys?
No. Check-in is contactless using a PIN key box. On arrival, guests collect the keys from the box themselves and return them there on departure, so there is no need to wait for anyone or agree on a specific handover time.

How is the apartment heated?
The apartment has underfloor heating throughout. In winter, it stays warm from the floor up, even when it is freezing outside.
Does the apartment have air conditioning?
The apartment does not have air conditioning—and does not need it. The chateau walls are made of stone and are exceptionally thick, so the indoor temperature remains pleasant even during summer heatwaves. It is one of the advantages historic buildings have over modern ones.
What amenities does the apartment offer?
The apartment is fully equipped: kitchenette with coffee machine, oven, hob, dishwasher, toaster and kettle, WiFi, underfloor heating throughout, internet TV with streaming services such as Netflix, HBO Max and Disney+, sofa bed, reading nook, clothes rack and hair dryer. Clean bed linen and towels are provided for every guest.
Is WiFi available in the apartment?
Yes, WiFi is included as part of the standard amenities.
Can I store bicycles or cross-country skis at the apartment?
Yes. Apartmán Verde is an ideal base for cyclists and cross-country skiers heading into the Brdy hills. The apartment has its own lockable cellar storage unit, with ample room for three bicycles and a full set of cross-country skiing equipment. The cellar area is secured by two lockable doors, so your bicycle will remain safe throughout your stay. After returning from a muddy ride, you can rinse off your bicycle right on the chateau grounds and leave it to dry until the next day.
Is there outdoor seating at the apartment?
Yes, private seating is available directly in front of the apartment (3 chairs and a small table). Guests can also use 2 gazebos in the garden for a quiet moment among the greenery of the chateau grounds.
History and Context
What is the history of the chateau in Jince?
On the site of an old medieval fortress dating back to 1352, once home to Bořita Bořitovic of Jince, there now stands a late Baroque chateau rebuilt in the first half of the 18th century. In 1806 the estate was purchased by Rudolf Vrbna of Bruntál and the residence served as the central seat of the local estate.
Why does Jince have a trilobite in its coat of arms?
The area around Jince contains rich fossil sites that are among the best known in Europe. Trilobites here were studied as early as the 19th century by the French engineer and paleontologist Joachim Barrande. The best-known locality is the Vinice slope.
